How to Apply For Bihar B.Ed CET 2026?
The application process is completely online, and no offline submissions are allowed. The commission has also provided a user manual on the website. It’s worth checking them before filling out the form to avoid mistakes. Follow these steps to apply smoothly:
- Enter your full name exactly as mentioned in your High School or equivalent certificate. Do not use any titles such as Shree, Smt., Kumari, Sushree, or Doctor.
- Enter your father’s name and mother’s name strictly as per your High School certificate, following the same guidelines as above.
- Fill in your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format as recorded in your High School/Secondary certificate or equivalent examination record.
- Provide a valid email ID in the specified field. An OTP will be sent to this email ID for verification, which must be completed to proceed further.
- Enter your 10-digit mobile number in the specified field. An OTP will be sent to this number for verification, which must be completed to proceed.
- Select the appropriate gender option carefully from the given choices.
- Choose your nationality in the relevant section of the application form.
- If you are a resident of Bihar, select “Bihar” and upload a valid residential certificate. Candidates who are not residents of Bihar will not be eligible for reservation benefits.
- Select your category carefully as Reserved or Unreserved, as applicable. The available options include Unreserved (UR), Backward Class (BC), Extremely Backward Class (EBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Candidates belonging to BC/EBC under the Creamy Layer will be treated as Unreserved. Reservation will be applicable as per the Bihar State Government norms. As per Government rules, candidates belonging to states other than Bihar must apply under the Unreserved category.
- If the applicant belongs to the Divyang (Persons with Disabilities) category and wishes to claim reservation benefits, select “Yes”, choose the appropriate sub-category, and upload a valid disability certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer or a duly constituted Medical Board in the prescribed format.
- Select Married or Unmarried to indicate your marital status.
- For identification purposes, the applicant must enter their Aadhaar number correctly.
- If the applicant wishes to avail benefits under the Service Men’s Quota (SMQ) or Divyang category, select the relevant option and upload the required certificate at the time of application. The original certificate must be produced during counselling. SMQ benefits apply only to Bihar residents and are limited to sons or unmarried daughters of ex-servicemen.
- For correspondence, applicants must enter their full name and complete postal address in the specified section. Applicants must clearly mention their PIN code along with the postal address.
- Upload the mark sheet of Matriculation (Class 10) or an equivalent examination.
- Upload the mark sheet of Intermediate (Class 12) or an equivalent examination.
- Enter the total marks and aggregate marks obtained in the Bachelor’s degree programme in the designated fields. The percentage will be calculated automatically. Upload the Bachelor’s degree mark sheet.
- Enter the total marks and aggregate marks obtained in the Postgraduate programme in the designated fields. The percentage will be calculated automatically. Upload the Postgraduate mark sheet, if applicable.
- Applicants must select three preferred examination cities for the entrance test (as listed in Appendix I). Darbhanga is the only examination city for the Shiksha Shastri programme. Requests for a change of examination centre will not be entertained.
- Applicants must carefully read all instructions and the declaration, follow the guidelines, and click the declaration checkbox to complete the application process.
