One Lakh Vacancies Planned Across Departments in West Bengal Budget
The state government will fill one lakh vacant posts in the coming recruitment cycle. Out of this total, fifty thousand posts are kept for teachers and teaching staff, making education the largest recruiting sector under this plan. Twenty thousand posts will go to the police department. The remaining posts will be spread across other government departments.

Women and Agniveer Candidates Get Reservation Benefit in West Bengal
The recruitment plan keeps a fixed share of posts reserved for women candidates. Thirty-three percent of the total vacancies will go to women applicants across departments. Agniveers will also get reservation wherever applicable, with ten percent posts kept aside for them. This gives a clear advantage to both groups in the upcoming hiring process.

Upper Age Limit Relaxed by Five Years in Bengal Budget
Candidates applying for government posts under this plan will get an age relaxation benefit. The upper age limit will be increased by five years from the existing limit. This relaxation will help candidates who crossed the earlier age limit in past recruitment cycles. The benefit will stay valid for the next two years from the date of announcement.
