Educational Qualification:

• Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
• OR Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed
• OR Higher Secondary with 45% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed (eligible before specific NCTE dates)
• OR Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed
• OR Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Special Education

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET):

• Passing the WBBPE-conducted TET is mandatory.
• Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS/Ex-Servicemen/PwD) get 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.

Medium of Instruction:

• Candidates must have studied and passed the language of the post at Higher Secondary or equivalent level.
• For Santhali (Ol-Chiki Script), only proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is required.

Age Limit:

• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 40 years
• Relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EC/Ex-Servicemen/Para Teachers.
