Rajasthan Government Sanctions 242 Special Education Lecturer Posts
The Rajasthan Secondary Education Department has officially sanctioned 242 Lecturer (Special Education) posts to support students under the CWSN (Children With Special Needs) category.
The order was issued by Director of Secondary Education Sitaram Jat, who stated that the creation of these posts will strengthen the academic support system for students with disabilities in senior secondary classes. This step has been welcomed by educators and disability rights groups, as the demand for special education lecturers had been pending for many years.
District Allocation of Special Education Lecturer Posts
The Rajasthan Education Department has decided to fill the 242 Special Education Lecturer posts through both promotion and direct recruitment. According to the plan, 121 posts will be filled through promotion, while the remaining 121 posts will be filled through direct recruitment. This approach will allow experienced teachers already working in the system to move into special education roles while also bringing in new professionals trained in special education.
The posts have also been distributed across different districts of the state. In the Sri Ganganagar division, a total of 14 posts have been approved. Out of these, 10 posts have been allocated to Sri Ganganagar district and 4 posts to Hanumangarh district.
Subject Experts to Teach Six Senior Secondary Subjects
The Special Education Lecturers will teach subject-based courses along with specialized support suited to the needs of Divyang students. The subjects included in this initiative are:
