The MPTET or Madhya Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is a state-level eligibility test conducted by the MPPEB. MP TET Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit 2021

The candidates should always go through the MP TET Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit before applying for the exam to ensure they are eligible for the exam. Not complying to the MPTET eligibility criteria 2021 will result in disqualification or rejection of the application form. Read on to know more about the MPTET eligibility criteria.

Educational Qualification:

  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and a two-year diploma in elementary education or its equivalent.
    OR
  • Graduates with 50% marks and Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.) from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education will be considered for the appointment of candidates to teach classes 1 to 5. However, such a person must necessarily complete a 6-month bridge course in primary education recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education within two years of being appointed as a primary teacher.
    OR
  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and two years diplomas in Elementary Pedagogy
    OR
  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks and a four-year bachelor’s degree (B.El.D.) in Elementary Education.
    OR
  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks and a two-year diploma in Shiksha Shastra (Special Education).
    OR
  • Graduation Degree and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or its equivalent.

MP TET Eligibility Criteria 2021: Age Limit

The minimum MPTET Age Limit 2021 is 21 years. In other words, the application has to be at least 21 years old on 1st January 2020. There is no upper age limit for the post of Primary Teacher for MPTET Exam 2021.

MP TET Eligibility Criteria 2021: Validity

The candidates who will qualify in the MPTET Exam 2021 will be awarded a certificate. The validity of this certificate is 2 years from the date of issuance. In other words, candidates can apply for government jobs in schools in Madhya Pradesh for these 2 years. After these 2 years, the certificate will become invalid and the candidates will have to appear again in the exam if they want. There is no restriction on the number of attempts candidates take to qualify for the exam.
