JTET Eligibility Criteria 2026

JTET Selection Process
Candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks will be issued a JTET certificate. This certificate only confirms eligibility for teacher appointment; it does not guarantee a job. The certificate validity and other conditions are as per JAC rules 2026.
- Candidates must appear in a single combined objective-type written exam.
- Minimum qualifying marks differ by category (General: 60%, OBC: 55%, SC/ST/PwD/PVGT: 52%).
- Candidates scoring the minimum marks will receive a JTET Pass Certificate.
- The certificate is a proof of eligibility only, not a direct appointment.
