AICE JRF 2024 Eligibility Criteria
ICAR AICE JRF 2024 Eligibility criteria include age limit, educational qualifications, and nationality. The candidates who want to apply for Lecturers / Assistant Professors posts must go through the eligibility criteria discussed below-
- Nationality: Indian citizens or nationals of any other country who have been granted permanent residency in India.
- Age Limit: The minimum age limit is usually 21years. There is no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.

Award of ICAR JRF PhD 2024
The ICAR-JRF PhD will be granted based on the merit achieved in the AICE-JRF/SRF (PhD) 2023 examination, leading to admission in the Ph.D. degree program in various institutions, including State Agricultural, Veterinary, Horticultural, and Fisheries Universities (SAUs); ICAR-DUs such as ICAR-IVRI, IARI, NDRI, CIFE; Central Agricultural University like CAU Imphal, Manipur, Dr. RPCAU Pusa, and Central Universities with a faculty of agriculture, such as Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Nagaland University (School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development).
The allocation criteria for ICAR-JRF/SRF (formerly ICAR-SRF) have shifted from being based on the total number of seats in each subject to the average number of aspirants who participated in the AICE-JRF/SRF (PhD) in that specific subject over the preceding three years. The number of fellowships is subject to change and is contingent on the actual number of candidates who appeared for the examination in a particular subject. The final count will only be determined during the counseling process.
