Eligibility Criteria

Important Eligibility Conditions

HP TET Qualifying Marks

Candidates belonging to the Unreserved category need to secure at least 60% marks, which means 90 marks out of 150. For SC/ST/OBC and PHH candidates, the qualifying requirement is 55%, equivalent to 82 marks out of 150.

HP TET Certificate Validity

The HP TET qualifying certificate is valid for life for appointment across all categories. There is also no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can make to acquire the TET certificate. Candidates who have already qualified can appear again if they want to improve their score.

Is HP TET Mandatory for Teacher Recruitment?

HP TET is an eligibility test conducted by HPBOSE for the prescribed teaching categories. However, qualifying HP TET by itself does not guarantee appointment.
