The number of candidates to be qualified for the position of Assistant Professor is equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both the papers of the GSET 2025-26 Exam.
The total slots are then allocated to different categories as per the reservation policy of the Government of Gujarat for the GSET 2025-26.
To be eligible for the Assistant Professor position in Gujarat, candidates must have participated in both papers (Paper I and Paper II) and achieved a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in both papers combined for General (Unreserved) / General-EWS category candidates.
For all candidates belonging to the reserved categories, including SC, ST, SEBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwD (PH/VH), and Third gender, the GSET Minimum Qualifying Marks 2025-26 is 35% aggregate marks in both papers combined is required.
The number of candidates to be declared qualified in GSET 2025-26 Exam in any subject for a specific category is determined using a certain method and calculation process.
