• Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education) with ATET/CTET is also acceptable.

Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025):

• General: 18–40 years
• OBC/MOBC: up to 43 years
• SC/ST(P)/ST(H): up to 45 years
• Ex-Servicemen: up to 42 years
• PwD: up to 50 years

Other Conditions:

• Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• Should comply with Assam’s Small Family Norms (not more than two living children after 01/01/2021).
• The language selected in ATET/CTET must match the medium of the applied school.

Essential Qualifications

• Graduate with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
• Must have passed Assam TET (ATET) or Central TET (CTET) for Upper Primary Schools.
• Either Language I or Language II in ATET/CTET must match the medium of instruction of the school applied for.

Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)

• Unreserved Category: 18 to 40 years
• Ex-Servicemen: up to 42 years
• OBC/MOBC: up to 43 years
• SC/ST (P/H): up to 45 years
• Persons with Disability (PwD): up to 50 years

Other Conditions:

• Candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam.
• Must be ready to serve in the district of posting as per choice.
• A candidate can apply for only one post against one ATET/CTET Roll Number.
• Candidates with Not Clear (NC) status in any qualification are not eligible.
• Improvement marks will be accepted only if obtained in the same subject, and only one betterment attempt will be considered.
• Candidates with more than two living children after 01/01/2021 will not be eligible under the Government’s Small Family Norms.
