CTET Eligibility 2021: CTET 2021 notification will be out soon on the official website. It is very important to know about the CTET eligibility criteria 2021 and CTET age limit before applying for the recruitment of teachers in the primary and Upper Primary level exam. CTET Eligibility 2021 For Paper I (For Primary Teacher)

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education/4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR
Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR 
Candidates who possessed “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible for becoming Teachers for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Such Candidates has to mandatory undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.

CTET Eligibility 2021 For Paper-II (For Secondary Teacher)

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education).
OR
Any candidate having a qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET.

CTET 2021: Age Limit

There is no age limit required for the CTET examination. You can attempt a number of times as you want to improve your CTET score.

  • Candidates should be citizens of India
  • There is no age restriction to apply for the CTET exam

CTET Eligibility 2021 For Reserved Category

There is no provision of the seat reservation for reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC and PwD candidates)candidates. However, they are granted a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying exam of the CTET Exam.

CTET 2021: Reservation Criteria

For the General category, Candidates who score 60% marks in the examination will be considered qualified. A good thing for all the appearing candidates is that there is no negative marking for a wrong attempted question.
