How to Calculate Score Using CG SAGES Answer Key 2026
The CG SAGES exam has 100 questions, and each correct answer carries 1 mark. Each wrong answer cuts 0.25 marks, and unattempted questions carry no marks. The question and option order is different for each candidate, so use your own response sheet to match answers. Your final score may change if the Directorate corrects the key after objections.
Follow the steps below.
- Log in and open your response sheet.
- Match each answer with the answer key.
- Count the correct, wrong and unattempted questions.
- Apply the formula below.
Formula: Total Score = (Correct Answers × 1) – (Wrong Answers × 0.25)
Example: 80 correct, 12 wrong and 8 unattempted answers give 80 – (12 × 0.25) = 80 – 3 = 77 marks.
Tie-breaker: If two candidates get equal marks, the older candidate gets a higher rank. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with the higher percentage in the basic educational qualification is ranked higher.
