Central Sanskrit University Selection Process

All posts under this recruitment will be filled through direct recruitment only. The selection process differs for Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts. Candidates should note that the full selection procedure will be announced on the Central Sanskrit University website in due course.

  • For Associate Professor posts: No written examination will be conducted; selection will be based on shortlisting, video presentation, research skill assessment, PPT presentation, and a face-to-face interview
  • For Assistant Professor posts: A written test (OMR-based MCQ examination) will be conducted for shortlisting; candidates who clear the written test will then be called for assessment criteria and interview
  • If the number of eligible candidates for a subject is fewer than 20, the university may skip the written test and directly call candidates for the assessment and interview stage.
  • Candidates currently employed in government/PSU/autonomous bodies must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of document verification or interview.
  • Document verification will be carried out at a prescribed stage; provisional eligibility does not guarantee appointment.

Central Sanskrit University Exam Schedule

The written examination (wherever applicable) will be conducted in three schedules to allow candidates who have applied for more than one subject to appear in multiple exams without clash.
