Assam Govt Announced to Recruit 14,223 School Teachers Posts

Assam government has announced the recruitment of a 14,223 school teachers across different levels i.e. PRT,TGT and PGT. Education Minister Ranoj Pegu made the official announcement, outlining the breakdown of available positions on his X account. Directorate of Elementary Education has released 1750 vacancies for Assam Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers recruitment Notice and Directorate of Secondary Education has released 1,424 Post Graduate Teacher vacancies in various subjects.

  • Graduate Teachers: 7,249 vacancies in provincialised secondary schools across various subjects.
  • Assam PGT Teacher Recruitment 2024: 1,424 vacancies in the same schools, offering opportunities for specialized educators.
  • Lower Primary Schools: 3,800 Assistant Teacher positions to strengthen early education.
  • Assam Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2024 for Upper Primary Schools: 1750 vacancies for Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers.

Assam Minister Pegu also “We are committed to filling critical gaps in our education system and providing quality teaching to every child in Assam,” declared . He further informed that detailed information regarding Assam Teaching Vacancy details district-wise distribution, subject areas, medium of instruction, and category-wise allocation of posts will be available on the official websites of the Directorate of Secondary Education (dee.assam.gov.in) and the Department of Elementary Education (madhyamik.assam.gov.in). These platforms will also announce the application dates for the Assam TET cum recruitment test – the gateway to these coveted positions.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma hailed the initiative as a testament to the government’s dedication to youth empowerment and employment generation. “Today’s announcement signifies over 10,000 vacancies opening up in the Education Department alone,” he noted on his X handle. “We are determined to not only fulfill but surpass our promise of creating more than 1 lakh government jobs in the most transparent manner ever witnessed in Assam.”

Assam recruitment drive aligns with the Chief Minister’s 1 Lakh Employment Scheme, a flagship initiative aimed at tackling unemployment and providing stable opportunities for Assam’s young talent.
