AP TET 2025 Notification Out

AP TET 2025 Exam Date Out
The Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, has announced the AP TET Exam Date for the October session in 2025. The exam will begin on December 10, 2025, and will be conducted in two shifts.
Mode of Examination & Pattern
- The exam will be held online (computer-based).
- Morning: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
- Afternoon: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM
- Question type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark. There is no negative marking
AP TET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
AP TET is mandatory for candidates seeking teaching positions in government, aided, and private schools. It evaluates the eligibility of teachers for primary (Classes 1–5) and upper primary (Classes 6–8) schools, including special schools. Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria for AP TET 2025:
- Educational Qualification: Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), or equivalent. Final-year students can also apply.
- Age Limit: As per AP TET norms.
1. For Primary Teachers (Classes 1 to 5)
- Candidates must have passed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) after completing Intermediate / Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks.
- A 5% relaxation in minimum marks (or as notified by the Andhra Pradesh Government) is given to SC / ST / Differently-abled candidates at the Intermediate/Senior Secondary level.
- Candidates who have 50% marks in Intermediate / Senior Secondary and have passed or are pursuing the final year of the 4-year B.El.Ed (Bachelor of Elementary Education) are also eligible.
- Those who have 45% marks in Intermediate / Senior Secondary and have passed or are in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) can also apply.
- As per NCTE guidelines (August 2010), candidates who qualified before August 2010 are considered eligible if they meet the required qualifications or percentage criteria mentioned above.
- Candidates who have completed or are in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education after graduation (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) can also apply for Paper I.
2. For Upper Primary Teachers (Classes 6 to 8)
- Candidates must have graduated (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) with at least 45% marks and passed or are pursuing a 1-year B.Ed. course.
- A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks in Class 12/Senior Secondary is allowed for SC / ST / Differently-abled candidates.
- Candidates belonging to SC / ST / BC / Differently-abled categories may also get relaxation in marks as per the Andhra Pradesh Government’s teacher education admission rules.
- If a candidate has less than the required marks in graduation but has post-graduation in a relevant subject, he/she is eligible to apply for Paper II (A or B).
- Candidates having B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and who have passed or are pursuing a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) are also eligible
