Rajasthan Is a Closed State or Open State
Rajasthan runs as a closed state for most of the counselling process, which means only candidates with Rajasthan domicile can apply for the state quota seats in the early rounds.
Rajasthan opens up from Round 3 of counselling. Once Round 3 begins, candidates from other states become eligible to apply for the seats that remain vacant, along with domicile candidates.

- Bonafide Residents: The parents are bonafide residents of Rajasthan, but the candidate studied outside the state.
- Government Employees: Children of serving or retired employees of the Rajasthan government, or Central government/defence personnel posted in Rajasthan for 3 years or more.
- Para-military/Defence: Wards of para-military or defence personnel who are originally from Rajasthan, or who are currently posted in the state.

Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2026 Security Amount
Along with the application fee, candidates also need to pay a security amount. This amount depends on the type of seat being applied for.
| Seat Type | Security Amount |
| Government BDS | ₹10,000 |
| Government MBBS | ₹50,000 |
| Private MBBS | ₹5,00,000 |
| MBBS NRI Seats | ₹5,00,000 |
| MBBS Management Seats | ₹2,00,000 |
If a candidate joins their allotted seat in any round, this security amount gets adjusted against the tuition fee payable at the college. If it isn’t forfeited under any rule, and isn’t adjusted in the fee, it gets refunded to the same bank account once the counselling process ends.

Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2026 Bond Details
Candidates selected on government seats, other than management and NRI seats, need to submit a bond. This bond commits them to not leaving the course before completion, and to serve the state government for two years after completing it. The bond amount is ₹10 lakh.
