Knowing the JEE Main exam pattern is essential for candidates taking the IIT JEE exam, being held from January 24th to February 1st, 2024. JEE Main Exam Pattern 2024
The IIT JEE Main exam pattern 2024 students about the type of questions, the number of questions in the exam, the exam mode, total marks, total number of sections, negative marking, passing marks, exam length, language, marking scheme, and other details. JEE Main had two papers: Paper 1 for B.Tech/B.E and Paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Planning. The exam pattern for both these papers is different.

JEE Mains Exam Pattern 2024[New]
The JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern can also be seen at jeemain.nta.ac.in. There are no significant changes to the JEE Main 2024 Exam. The JEE Mains 2024 Exam will be administered by the National Testing Agency in two sections: January and April. In addition to the syllabus, candidates should review the JEE Main Exam pattern 2024. There will be a total of 90 questions in the JEE Main Paper 1. The JEE Main test pattern differs for paper 1 and paper 2.
Both shifts and sessions use the same JEE Mains exam pattern. According to the JEE Mains Exam Date 2024, JEE Mains Session 1 is set between January 24 and February 1, 2024, while JEE Mains Session 2 is scheduled between April 1 and April 15, 2024. JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern – Types of Questions
According to the IIT JEE Paper Pattern 2024, each subject in the JEE Main 2024 Exam is separated into two sections – Section A and Section B. Section A will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and Section B will consist of questions with numerical answers. Each topic for paper 1 of the JEE Main 2024 test format consists of 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and 10 numerical value questions, only 5 of which are required.

JEE Main Exam Format
JEE Main offers two types of papers: Paper-1 for BE/BTech courses and Paper-2, which is separated into Paper-2A for B.Arch and Paper-2B for B.Planning. The Mathematics and Aptitude Test in B. Arch paper is administered through CBT, and the Drawing Test is administered via offline or pen-paper mode on an A4-size drawing sheet. Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Planning are all part of the B.Planning paper. The JEE Main Paper 2B is only offered in CBT format. The exam lasts three hours in total. JEE Mains Total Questions
The total questions in JEE Mains exam varies for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Within each paper, students are not required to attempt all the questions. There are a total of 90 questions in the JEE Main paper 1 exam of which students must attempt 75 questions in total all (20) from the general MCQs questions and 5 out of 10 from the numerical value questions.
JEE Main Total Questions Paper 2
As we know, the exam pattern of the JEE Main paper 1 and paper 2 varies, so does the total questions in both the papers. The total questions in the JEE Main Paper 2A ( for B.Architecture) is 82 while the total number of questions in JEE Main Paper 2B (for B.Planning) is 105. The exam paper is divided into three sections in both these exam papers.
JEE Main Total Marks 2024
The JEE Main 2024 Exam will be held in CBT Mode with three papers. Paper 1 is for Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology, while Papers 2A and 2B are for Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning, respectively. The total marks for JEE Main 2024 vary by paper.
