NEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

NEET Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects from a recognized board.

Minimum Marks Required for NEET 2026

General category candidates must secure at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for PwD candidates), while OBC/SC/ST candidates require a minimum of 40% aggregate marks (40% for PwD candidates).

Note– Marks obtained in Mathematics are not considered while determining eligibility for NEET 2026.

NEET 2026 Exam Date

The NEET 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on 3 May 2026 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam will be conducted in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (IST). NEET 2026 will consist of 200 questions, out of which candidates need to attempt 180 questions, carrying a total of 720 marks.
