CLAT 2021 stands for Common Law Admission Test conducted by the National Law school/ Universities for the admission in Under-graduate and Post Graduate Program in the courses like LL.B & LL.M. CLAT 2021 is a National Level Entrance Test. There are a total of 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) that organizes the test every year according to their seniority in the establishment and every year rotation is done for NLUs to conduct the exam.
Previously NLU has scheduled the exam for June 13, 2021, but due to the date clashing with the 12th boards and the ongoing pandemic crisis, the date has been postponed until further updates are made. Moreover, the registration for CLAT 2021 has been extended till 15th June 2021.

Eligibility criteria for CLAT 2021
CLAT 2021 UNDER-GRADUATE:
Age limit: No upper age limit
Educational Qualification: 10+2 or Equivalent
Minimum Marks: 45% for GN/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI
40% for ST/SC
CLAT 2021 POSTGRADUATE:
Age limit: No upper Age limit
Educational Qualification: LLB or equivalent
Minimum Marks: 45% for GN/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI

Steps to apply for CLAT 2021
- To get register for Clat 2021 Candidates need to visit the official website of the Consortium of NLU. https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/
- The registration can be done only in online mode.
- Registration should be done with a properly working email address and phone no. as the OTP will be required for validation.
- Fill in the details according to your documents.
- Select the university among the 22 national Law Universities according to your preference.
- Pay the application fee via Net banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ UPI.
- Download the confirmation page for future reference.

CLAT 2021 Preparation 2021
Logical Reasoning:
- The candidate needs to identify the premises and conclusions, and further use them to identify the theme of the passage.
- Candidates need to enhance their logical reasoning power so that they can identify the sets of arguments that support each other and contradict each other.
- Candidates should develop a habit of reading the question carefully as sometimes questions might be intentionally misleading.
- Practice is key to success, hence practice previous year papers.
Quantitative Techniques:
- Your quantitative techniques will get better only if you have practiced the basics properly from 10th & 12th
- Practice the questions with graphs and pictorial representations of data, tables, etc.
- Make a separate sheet for formulas. It will be handy for the time of quick revision.
LEGAL REASONING:
- Always have some basic legal awareness that might help you to solve the questions quickly.
- Students should break down the principle into simpler and smaller parts, keeping the difference between words like “AND” or “OR”.
- Always try to write the answer based on the actual demand of the question, your previous or biased knowledge shouldn`t come in between.
- Candidates should religiously read the columns, essays by prominent judges, lawyers, law experts.
- Candidates should practice legal reasoning at least for 1 hour daily.
English Language:
- The questions in the CLAT 2021 exam are asked from the 12th standard level.
- The topic of the passage can be technical, scientific topics, historical events, current issues, etc. with all the information provided in the passage itself.
- Students should try to derive the main focus of the passage and then the 5W`s- Who, What, Why, When, and Where.
- Vocabulary questions consist of two variations that are General meaning of a word or phrase and the Meaning of a word or phrase in the context of a passage.
- Students are advised to read the newspaper editorial on issues pertaining to law.
Current Affairs & General Knowledge:
- This section does not have any limited kind of syllabus hence always keep a tab on current affairs.
- Read news from reliable and reputed sources only.
- Fix at least a time duration of 30mins to practice Current affairs passage daily.
