There are more than 14,000 seats available for admission to various college. Bihar has 13,860 seats offered in 38 government engineering colleges. Moreover, there are 75 seats available at CIPET Bihta, 120 seats at the private institution- Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Women’s Technology Institute in Darbhanga, and 34 seats for Dairy Technology along with four self-financed seats.

This raises the total count of seats offered in this round of counselling to 14,093. All these seats are allocated exclusively on the basis of JEE Main scores, as has occurred for the last five years. The Special Officer highlighted that this clear procedure guarantees selection based on merit for engineering candidates throughout the state.

BCECEB Bihar Engineering Admissions Important Date 2025

Candidates awarded a seat can obtain their allotment letters between July 4 and July 7, 2025. Admissions according to the initial merit list will take place from July 5 to July 7, 2025. Subsequently, the second phase of the admission process will begin. The result for the provisional seat allocation of the second round will be announced on July 10, 2025.

Candidates may submit their objections from July 11 to July 12, 2025. The ultimate outcome of seat allocation for the second round will be released on July 14, 2025.
