Factors Affecting IBPS Clerk Cut Off 2025
The IBPS Clerk Cut Off 2025 for the exam is determined by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection based on several key factors. These factors directly or indirectly influence the cut-off marks for each category.
- Number of Vacancies: A higher number of vacancies may lead to a lower cut-off, while fewer vacancies can increase competition, raising the cut-off marks.
- Number of Candidates Appearing: If more candidates take the exam, the cut-off tends to be higher due to increased competition. Conversely, fewer applicants might result in a lower cut-off.
- Difficulty Level of the Exam: A higher difficulty level of the exam usually leads to a lower cut-off as fewer candidates score high marks, whereas an easier paper may result in a higher cut-off.
- Previous Year Trends: The cut-off trends from previous years play a significant role in determining the expected range for the current year, as IBPS maintains a certain level of consistency.
- Marking Scheme: Factors like negative marking, sectional cut-offs, and the weightage of different sections impact the overall cut-off, making it essential for candidates to perform well across all sections.
