KVS NVS Tier 1 Unique OMR & Biometric Rules

Since the Tier 1 exam is offline (OMR-based), CBSE has implemented strict biometric rules:

  • Digital Login Restriction: When downloading your admit card, you must use your Registration Number (starting with 2598). Do not use your application number, or the system will deny access.
  • Thumb Impression & Facial Recognition: Biometric attendance is mandatory. Candidates with henna (Mehendi) or tattoos on their fingers are advised to clean their hands to avoid fingerprint failure.
  • No “Double Bubbling”: On the OMR sheet, marking two circles for one question or using white fluid will show that question being marked as “Wrong” (-1 penalty).

Shift-Wise Last-Minute Tips

  • PRT & JSA (10 Jan- Morning): Focus should be on the highest weightage sections as per the exam pattern of KVS Tier I- Language Competency and Basic Computers
  • MTS (10 Jan- Afternoon): As the difficulty level is Secondary level hence avoid guesswork. Also, there is a negative marking of 1/3 marks.
  • PGT/TGT (11 Jan): Make sure you have the CTET Certificate in hand, as biometrics may be cross-verified with the DigiLocker CTET database.

No. The city slip (released Dec 26) only tells you the city and shift timing so you can plan your travel and the Admit Card give you the access to the exam hall.

What is the "1:10" shortlisting rule?

This is a screening test rule where only the top candidates from Tier 1 are shortlisted for the next stage. For every 1 vacancy, 10 candidates will be selected based on their Tier 1 merit.
