DEE Assam Special Educator Recruitment 2025 Notification Out For 120 Posts

The Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam has released the official notification for the DEE Assam Special Educator Recruitment 2025. A total of 120 vacancies have been announced for Special Educators in Lower Primary (LP) schools. This is a major opportunity for candidates who hold a Diploma in Special Education along with ATET or CTET qualification. DEE Assam Special Educator Recruitment 2025

The recruitment aims to improve the quality of education for children with special needs in LP schools across Assam. The vacancies are spread across districts, with reservations for different categories as per government rules. Candidates selected under this recruitment will be placed in Pay Band-2 with a scale of ₹14,000 to ₹70,000 plus Grade Pay of ₹7,400 and other allowances. Candidates can apply online only through the official website dee.assam.gov.in. No offline applications will be accepted. Steps to Apply:

• Open the recruitment section and click on the Special Educator application link.
• Register using your ATET/CTET roll number and personal details.
• Fill out the application form carefully.
• Upload scanned copies of required documents in colour.
• Submit the application and download a copy for future reference.

DEE Assam Special Educator 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) recognized by RCI.
• Must have passed ATET/CTET for LP Schools.
• Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education) with ATET/CTET is also acceptable.

Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025):

• General: 18–40 years
• OBC/MOBC: up to 43 years
• SC/ST(P)/ST(H): up to 45 years
• Ex-Servicemen: up to 42 years
• PwD: up to 50 years

Other Conditions:

• Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• Should comply with Assam’s Small Family Norms (not more than two living children after 01/01/2021).
• The language selected in ATET/CTET must match the medium of the applied school.

The selection will be purely merit-based. A district-wise and category-wise merit list will be prepared. Document verification will be done through DigiLocker, QR/Barcode scanning, and physical verification if required. DEE Assam Special Educator Salary 2025

Selected candidates appointed as Special Educators in Lower Primary (LP) schools will be placed in Pay Band-2, which carries a salary range of ₹14,000 to ₹70,000 per month. In addition to the basic pay, they will receive a Grade Pay of ₹7,400. The salary package also includes various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Allowance, and other benefits as per the Assam Service (Revision of Pay) Rules, 2019. This makes the  overall in-hand salary competitive and attractive for teaching professionals.
