CSIR NET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To appear for the CSIR NET June 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria and age requirements:
- General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates must have 55% marks in a Master’s degree or equivalent.
- OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender candidates require 50% marks in a Master’s degree.
- Final-year Master’s students can apply provisionally, but must qualify within 2 years (for JRF/Assistant Professor) or 1 year (for Ph.D. only) from the NET result declaration.
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree holders (with 75% marks or equivalent) are eligible for JRF & Ph.D., but not for Assistant Professor.
- Ph.D. holders who completed a Master’s before 19th September 1991 get a 5% relaxation
