What Is MAHA TET and Who Is It For?

MAHA TET, or Maharashtra TET, is a state-level teacher eligibility test conducted by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE). The exam is held at two levels – Paper 1 for teachers of Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 for teachers of Classes 6 to 8.

MAHA TET 2026 Eligibility for Final Year Students

What Happens After You Clear MAHA TET 2026?

Clearing MAHA TET opens the door to a teaching career in Maharashtra. The MAHA TET certificate is now valid for a lifetime so candidates can apply for teaching positions across Maharashtra whenever they wish.

Upon selection for a teaching position, candidates receive a salary as per Pay Matrix Level 4, along with additional benefits like house rent assistance and dearness allowance.
