The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced 7279 vacancies for the post of Special Educator under the BPSC Special School Teacher Recruitment 2025. • Register on BPSC Portal: Visit https://bpsconline.bihar.gov.in and complete One Time Registration (OTR) using a valid email ID and mobile number. This is mandatory for all applicants.
• Create DigiLocker Account: After OTR, either sign in to your existing DigiLocker account or create a new one. Give consent to link your documents with BPSC’s system.
• Fill Out Your Profile: Complete six profile sections—Personal Details, Address, Other Info, Qualification, Experience (if any), and Upload Photo/Signature. Lock the profile after reviewing all details.
• Submit Application: Go to the “New Application” tab, select the advertisement, verify eligibility, and click “Submit & Pay Fees” to complete the application.

BPSC Special School Teacher Application Fee 2025

Candidates applying for the BPSC Special School Teacher Recruitment 2025 must pay the application fee as per their category. General and other unreserved category candidates are required to pay ₹750, while SC/ST candidates, all female candidates (reserved/unreserved), and PwD candidates with 40% or more disability need to pay ₹200. The eligibility for the Special School Teacher post will be determined as per Departmental Notification No. 916 dated 19 May 2023. The key criteria are as follows:

• The candidate must be a citizen of India.
• The candidate must meet the eligibility standards set by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) for Special School Teachers.
• A valid CRR (Central Rehabilitation Register) number issued by RCI is mandatory at the time of application, along with supporting proof.
• The candidate must have qualified the Bihar Special School Teacher Eligibility Test (BSSTET) 2023, as applicable: BSSTET Paper-I for teaching Classes 1 to 5 (Primary Level) and BSSTET Paper-II for teaching Classes 6 to 8 (Upper Primary Level)

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

• Passed Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
• Completed D.El.Ed. in Special Education from an RCI-recognized institute or an equivalent certificate/diploma in Special Education.
• Must hold a valid CRR (Central Rehabilitation Register) number issued by RCI.
• Completed six months of teaching training in cross-disability or multi-category disabilities.

BPSC Special Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2025 for Upper Primary

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
• Should have completed B.Ed. in Special Education from an RCI-recognized institute or hold an equivalent certificate/diploma, along with a valid CRR number issued by RCI.
• Must also have completed six months of teaching training in cross-disability or multi-category disabilities.
