AIIMS Faculty Recruitment 2026 Out for 181 Posts, Eligibility, Salary, Selection Process

AIIMS Gorakhpur, AIIMS Deoghar and AIIMS Bhopal have released fresh Faculty Recruitment 2026 notifications, together covering 181 teaching vacancies. AIIMS Gorakhpur has announced 68 Group A posts, and AIIMS Deoghar has announced 68 medical faculty posts (plus 1 nursing faculty post) under its 9th Rolling Advertisement (Phase 2). Both cover Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. AIIMS Bhopal has announced 45 Assistant Professor posts on a contractual basis across 23 departments. AIIMS Faculty Recruitment 2026 Out

AIIMS Gorakhpur and AIIMS Deoghar published their advertisements on 14 September 2026, and AIIMS Bhopal followed on 1 October 2026. All three application windows are open. Gorakhpur accepts applications through a Google Form plus a hard copy sent by post. Deoghar accepts a soft copy by email as a single PDF, and the hard copy is produced at document verification before the interview. Bhopal also takes applications by email, within 10 days of the advertisement’s publication on its website.

AIIMS Faculty Notification 2026

The application window for AIIMS Gorakhpur, Deoghar, Bhopal is open. Candidates are advised to keep the notification PDF handy for department-wise eligibility and reservation details.

Deoghar’s rolling advertisement stays open through further cut-off dates: 15 December 2026 (Phase 3) and 15 February 2027 (Phase 4). These apply to posts that remain unfilled. Bhopal’s interview and document verification dates will be notified separately on its website.

AIIMS Faculty Vacancy 2026

A total of 181 posts have now been notified across Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor grades at these three institutes, spread over departments including Cardiology, General Medicine, Neurology, Radiology, Urology, and Trauma & Emergency Medicine, among others.

At AIIMS Gorakhpur, 7 seats are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (1 Professor, 1 Additional Professor, 2 Associate Professor, 3 Assistant Professor).

How to Apply for AIIMS Faculty Recruitment 2026

Below are the steps to apply for the faculty positions in AIIMS:

AIIMS Gorakhpur

• Visit the official AIIMS Gorakhpur website or open the Google Form link given in the advertisement.
• Fill the application form in the prescribed MS Word format and take a printout.
• Scan the signed application along with photograph and upload it via the Google Form.
• Upload the filled Brief of Candidate (Annexure-A) and PowerPoint Presentation (Annexure-B).
• Attach scanned copies of educational certificates, experience certificates, and category certificates.
• Pay the applicable application fee through the prescribed bank account.
• Send the signed hard copy of the application with self-attested documents by Speed/Registered Post to the Recruitment Cell, AIIMS Gorakhpur, before the closing date.

AIIMS Deoghar

• Download the advertisement and application format (Annexure 1) from www.aiimsdeoghar.edu.in.
• Fill in the application, sign every page with the date, and complete the required annexures.
• Pay the non-refundable fee in the SBI account given in the notification and keep the transaction receipt.
• Combine the application, all enclosures and proof of fee in a single legible PDF (scanned at 200 dpi grey scale).
• Email the PDF to facultyrecruitmentcell@aiimsdeoghar.edu.in on or before 15 October 2026.
• Keep the hard copy of the same application ready to produce at document verification before the interview.

AIIMS Bhopal

• Download the prescribed application format from the AIIMS Bhopal website.
• Fill in the application and attach documents supporting your eligibility, such as degrees, mark sheets and experience certificates.
• Email the application with documents to recruitment.contractual@aiimsbhopal.edu.in within 10 days of the advertisement’s publication on the website. The email should be captioned “Engagement of Assistant Professor (On CONTRACTUAL BASIS) in the Department of ……”.
• Carry the same application, originals of all documents and one set of self-attested copies to document verification. This is held one day before the interview, on a date to be notified on the website.
• Bring the application fee, if applicable, as a demand draft at the time of document verification.

AIIMS Age Limit

Age relaxation applies as per government norms – 10 years for PwBD candidates, 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 5 years for government servants at Mangalagiri and Guwahati.

AIIMS Faculty Selection Process

Selection at AIIMS is interview-based, and the process differs slightly between the institutes. Candidates are first screened on the documents and biodata submitted, and only eligible candidates are called for the interview. Mere eligibility does not guarantee an interview call or selection. The key points for AIIMS Deoghar and AIIMS Bhopal are given below.

AIIMS Deoghar

• Shortlisting is done by a Screening Committee on the basis of the biodata submitted.
• Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, and details are sent by registered post or email.
• Selection is based on the interview, along with academic and research credentials, publications, awards and conference presentations.
• Candidates must bring all original documents to the interview and submit an affidavit signed by a Judicial Magistrate or Notary.
• The interview may extend to the next day, so candidates should stay available.
• No TA/DA is paid for appearing in the interview.
• A waiting list is prepared and stays valid for six months after the result is declared.
• Selected direct-recruitment candidates serve a two-year probation period.
• The post is whole-time, and private practice of any kind is not permitted.

AIIMS Bhopal

• Only candidates found eligible after document verification appear before the Selection Committee.
• Document verification is held one day before the interview, and the schedule is notified on the institute website.
• A screening test may be conducted if the number of candidates exceeds a 1:10 ratio.
• Document verification and interviews are held at Kautilya Bhawan (Administration Building), AIIMS, Saket Nagar, Bhopal.
• Candidates must arrange their own stay, and no TA/DA is paid.
• Government, semi-government and autonomous-body employees must produce an NOC at the interview, or they will not be allowed to appear.
• The engagement is contractual, for 1 year or till a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier, and cannot be regularised.
• Selected candidates must serve at least 6 months and sign a service bond on non-judicial stamp paper. Leaving early attracts a penalty of Rs. 1,00,000.
