The Railway Recruitment Board has invited applications for 11,127 Assistant Loco Pilot posts from eligible candidates. Those who are within the age limit of 18 to 30 years and hold 10th pass + ITI certificate are eligible to apply.

The RRB ALP Apply Online 2026 portal will remain active from 15th May to 14th June 2026. Candidates can fill out the application form, upload documents, and pay the application fee on the RRB registration website at www.rrbapply.gov.in.

RRB ALP Apply Online 2026 Dates

The RRB ALP 2026 Online Registrations have started today, 15th May 2026. It is a pan-India recruitment, so eligible candidates from all states and UTs can apply at www.rrbapply.gov.in. The direct link and steps to apply have been discussed below, but check the application dates here first.

Who can apply for RRB ALP 2026?

Before you apply, make sure you meet the following eligibility conditions:

Age Limit: 18 to 30 years (Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST, OBC, and PwD candidates as per government rules)

Educational Qualification: To apply, a candidate must have:

• 10th Pass (Matriculation) with an ITI certificate in a relevant trade
• OR a Diploma in Engineering in a relevant discipline from a recognized institute
• OR Act Apprenticeship certificate after completing Class 10

Nationality: Must be a citizen of India

• Valid and active Email ID and Mobile Number (used for all future communication and OTP)

How to Create an Account for RRB ALP 2026 Application?

If you have already applied for any RRB CEN, then no need to create an account.  But if you are applying First time, then follow these steps:

1. Click on the “Create an Account” link available on the official RRB website (www.rrbapply.gov.in) and fill in your basic details.
2. Provide your phone number, Email ID, and other credentials to create an account.
3. Once the account is created, no details can be changed later, including your mobile number and email ID. So fill everything carefully and correctly.
4. During account creation, it is recommended to verify your identity via DigiLocker or Aadhaar.

Steps to Fill out the Application Form

After creating the account with RRB, follow these steps to fill out the form:

Step 1: Visit the Official RRB Website

Go to the official website RRB and click on the RRB ALP 2026 Apply Online link.

Step 2: Log in with credentials

The credentials you received from RRB after you create an account (mentioned above).

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

Enter personal details, educational qualification, and other required information carefully. Details must match to that in original documents.

Step 4: Choose Your Exam City

Select your preferred exam centre city as per the options available in the form.

Step 5: Upload Photo and Signature

Upload a live photo, recent passport size photograph and your signature as per the required size.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

Pay the required application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Step 7: Submit the Form

Review all the details once before final submission. Once submitted, take a printout or screenshot of the confirmation page for future reference.

Important Note From RRB

“Multiple applications to different RRBs or same RRB, will lead to rejection of all the applications. Any attempt to submit more than one application by a candidate against this CEN shall result in disqualification and debarment from the recruitment process.”

Aadhaar Verification is Mandatory for RRB ALP 2026

Candidates must complete Aadhaar verification while filling out the online application to avoid delays during recruitment. Here are some mandatory conditions from the Railway Board for aspirants:

• Name in Aadhaar must exactly match your Class 10 certificate
• Date of birth in Aadhaar must match Class 10 records
• The photograph in Aadhaar must be recent and clear
• Biometrics (fingerprint and iris) must be updated
• If there’s a mismatch, visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra and get it corrected before the application deadline.

Common Mistakes to Avoid While Applying

Avoid the following mistakes:

• Do not use someone else’s mobile number or email ID
• Enter your name exactly as on your Class 10 certificate
• Do not upload a blurry photo or old photograph
• Enter your date of birth very carefully
• Do not wait for the last date
• Save your login credentials immediately after registration

How Many Vacancies are available for ALP?

As per the official notification for CEN 01/2026, a total of 11,127 vacancies have been released for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) across all RRBs in India. Additionally, 1,115 seats are reserved for Ex-Servicemen (ExSM) out of the total vacancies.
