A Master’s Degree in Finance (or any other master’s degree where “Finance” is the principal constituent of the curriculum/syllabus, including MA/MSc in Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, Banking and Trade Finance, International and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance, Agri Business Finance).

A minimum of 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade is required in aggregate.

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DSIM

Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate across all semesters/years:

a. Master’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics/Applied Statistics & Informatics.

b. Master’s Degree in Mathematics along with a one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputable institute.

c. Master’s Degree in Data Science/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Big Data Analytics from a recognised University/Institute.

d. Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Data Science/AI/ML/Big Data Analytics from a recognised University/Institute.

e. Two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) from a recognised University/Institute.

RBI Grade B Officer 2026 Nationality

As per the RBI Grade B 2026 Eligibility, the candidates must fulfil the nationality criteria. The candidates must be either:

  1. a citizen of India, or
  2. a subject of Nepal, or
  3. a subject of Bhutan, or
  4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
  5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.
