OICL AO Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

Candidates applying for the Administrative Officer post will have to go through the following selection stages:

Stage 1: Prelims Exam: The Prelims exam shall be objective type and this is qualifying in nature which means that its marks will not be added to the final merit list.

Stage 2: Mains Exam: The Mains Exam consists of both objective and descriptive type paper and the total mark is 230 (200+30). Candidates are required to score sectional and overall minimum marks to qualify for the exam.

Stage 3: Interview: Those who qualify for the Mains Exam will have to appear for the Interview stage. The weightage of the Online Exam and Interview is 80:20 respectively. Final selection will be done based on the main exam and Interview.

OICL AO Prelims Exam Pattern

1. Total Questions: 100
2. Total Marks: 100
3. Duration: 60 Minutes
4. Negative Marking: 0.25 mark for each wrong answer

OICL AO Mains Exam Pattern

In the OICL AO Mains Exam 2024, candidates will have five sections: Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and Professional Knowledge. Each section has a specific number of questions, maximum marks, and duration. The total duration of the exam is 150 minutes.

OICL AO Descriptive Paper

In the descriptive paper, the test of the English language will be conducted which includes Letter and Essay writing. Candidates have to type their answers on the computer through keyboards. The descriptive answers will only be evaluated if the candidates have passed the objective test. The minimum mark required in the descriptive test is 15/30 (13.5 for SC/ST/PwD)
