SP Full Form in Police- How to be an SP?

There are three ways to get posted as an SP:

  • The individual might take the UPSC CSAT (civil services aptitude test) and get a decent score on it. You will start off as a DSP or ACP, and after collecting the necessary experience, you will be advanced to the level of SP.
  • The state public service commission examination may be passed by the candidate. After passing this exam, he or she will be able to become a DSP, and after gaining the necessary experience, he or she will be able to become an SP. However, compared to the first alternative, this option’s promotion may take longer.
  • In their state police department, the candidate can begin as a Sub Inspector. They must work hard and prevent crime with maximum dedication in order to advance in rank and become SP after demonstrating their ability and courage.

SSP and SP Full Form in Police and Differences

The full form of SSP, the abbreviation, is Senior Superintendent of Police. The post of SSP is a respectable post in the Police Department. No direct recruitment or examination is conducted for the post of SSP. This post is created by promoting from the post of SP. In India, metropolitan, highly populated or Naxal-affected districts are called Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP). There are two stars on their uniform. They work to prevent all kinds of crime in the district.

Moreover, an SP is appointed by the Government of India as a special officer in every district of India. A senior superintendent of police is the head of the police force of a district in densely populated, urban areas, or Naxal-affected districts or smaller districts. ASP / DSP Full Form in Police

The full form of DySP, the abbreviation, is Deputy Superintendent of Police. They are also called CO, or circle officers. These are made block-wise.
