CONCOR Syllabus 2026 for MT and Assistant Officer, Check Exam Pattern

The CONCOR Syllabus has been prepared based on the two posts available under its recruitment: Management Trainee and Assistant Officer. Candidates who have applied for this opportunity must have a clear understanding of its syllabus and exam pattern for effective preparation.

CONCOR Syllabus 2026

The CBT tests the aspirants on five different subjects including Professional Knowledge, English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Knowledge. The examination carries 100 questions for a total of 100 marks.

The duration of exam is 90 minutes, and there also exists a penalty of 0.25 deducted for each incorrect answer. The professional knowledge section is specific to the post applied for, where as the other sections are common subjects.

CONCOR Exam Pattern 2026: The Paper at a Glance

One important thing to notice about this exam pattern is, that the total marks are 100, out of which the professional knowledge section carries half of it. Thus, it is the most important section of the exam, and priority should be given to it.

Common Syllabus for All Posts

Let’s look at the common subjects which are identical for all posts. These include:

  • English Language (for 10 marks): Reading comprehension, error spotting, sentence correction/rearrangement, fill in the blanks, cloze test, para jumbles, synonyms-antonyms, and one-word substitution.
  • Reasoning (for 10 marks): Coding-decoding, blood relations, syllogism, seating arrangement, direction sense, series (number/alphabet), analogy, statement-conclusion, and puzzle-based questions.
  • Quantitative Aptitude (for 15 marks): Simplification, percentage, profit & loss, ratio & proportion, average, time-speed-distance, time & work, simple & compound interest, data interpretation (tables/bar graphs/pie charts), and number series.
  • General Knowledge (for 15 marks): Current affairs (last 6-8 months), static GK, Indian economy, banking & logistics-sector awareness, government schemes, awards & honours, sports, and important days, with a natural lean toward railways, port, and container-logistics-related developments given CONCOR’s parent ministry.

CONCOR Selection Process 2026

There is a slight variation in the selection process as well for the two kinds of posts available under this recruitment. The selection process looks like this:

  • Management Trainee: CBT → GD and/or Interview, as decided by CONCOR
  • Assistant Officer: CBT only

Is the CONCOR MT and AO syllabus the same?

The CBT structure is the same for MT and AO posts. Both examinations contain Professional Knowledge, English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Knowledge. However, the Professional Knowledge area changes according to the post and discipline.

How many questions are asked in the CONCOR CBT?

The CBT consists of 100 questions carrying 100 marks. Professional Knowledge has 50 questions, English 10, Reasoning 10, Quantitative Aptitude 15 and General Knowledge 15.
