IOB LBO Selection Process 2025
The selection process for Indian Overseas Bank Learning Based Officers includes the following stages:
- Online Written Test: It is an objective type online test consisting of 200 marks. It covers Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, English, and General / Economy / Banking Awareness.
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT): It is conduct to check the ability to read, write, and speak the local language of the state applied for. Those who have a proof of studying the local language in 10th/12th class, need not appear for the test.
- Personal Interview: Assesses subject knowledge, communication skills, and overall personality of the candidate for the role.

The pay scale for the Assistant Manager (Scale I) position is Rs. 48,480 with increments of Rs.2,000 for 7 years, followed by Rs.2,340 for 2 years, and Rs.2,680 for 7 years, reaching up to Rs.85,920. The starting basic salary is Rs.48,480, with annual raises. Along with the basic pay, employees receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), and other benefits according to current rules. New recruits will serve a probation period of 2 years of active duty. Additionally, candidates must sign the Bank’s Financial Service Indemnity Bond worth Rs. 2,00,000.
