PNB LBO Apply Online 2026 Started

Candidates can apply for the Local Bank Officer 2026 only through the official Punjab National Bank (PNB) website. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted. Candidates should ensure that all information entered in the application form is accurate and complete, as incomplete or incorrect applications are liable to be rejected.

PNB LBO Application Fee

The application fee for the PNB LBO Online form is non-refundable. The details are as follows:

Candidates must bear the bank transaction charges for online fee payment. The fee, once paid, will not be refunded or adjusted against any other examination or selection process under any circumstances.

Handwritten Declaration Format

Candidates have to submit a scanned copy of their handwritten declaration with text:

“I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” 

PNB LBO 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The criteria include nationality, age limit, educational qualification, and work experience. Below is Eligibility Criteria as per the official notification.

Nationality

As per the PNB LBO Notification 2026, applicants must be Indian citizens or belong to specific eligible categories, including subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before 1st January 1962, or persons of Indian origin from certain countries holding eligibility certificates issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit (As on 1/7/2026)

Candidates applying for the LBO post must be between 20 and 30 years of age.

Educational Qualification (As on 9/8/2026)

Candidates must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution approved by the Government of India. The degree and mark sheet must be valid on the date of registration.

Local Language Proficiency

Applicants should be able to read, write, and speak the local language of the state they are applying for.

Experience (As on 9/8/2026)

Candidates must have at least one year of post-qualification work experience in a Clerical or Officer cadre at any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank. Additionally, applicants may be eligible for up to two advance increments depending on their prior officer-level experience.

PNB LBO Salary Structure

As per the PNB LBO Notification 2026, the PNB LBO Pay scale is Rs 48,480 – 2,000/7 – 62,480 – 2,340/2 – 67,160 – 2,680/7 – 85,920. In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to a variety of allowances i.e., DA, HRA, CCA, Medical Insurance, LFC, etc.

PNB LBO 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for the PNB LBO Recruitment 2026 consists of the following stages:

Stage 1: Online Written Test

This stage involves a multiple-choice question exam covering reasoning, data analysis, quantitative aptitude, English language, and general banking awareness. Candidates must clear sectional and overall cut-offs to qualify for the next stage.

Stage 2: Screening

In this stage, candidates’ documents and eligibility criteria are verified thoroughly to ensure all application details and qualifications are authentic and valid.

Stage 3: Language Proficiency Test

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the regional language of the state they applied for by reading, writing, and speaking to clear this stage and proceed further.

Stage 4: Personal Interview

Qualified candidates face a personal interview to assess communication skills, knowledge, and suitability for the Local Bank Officer role before final selection.

2. Click “New Registration,” enter basic details to generate a provisional registration number and password
3. Fill the application form, using “Save and Next” to review before final submission (no edits allowed after “Complete Registration”)
4. Upload photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm, 20–50kb), signature (10–20kb), left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per specifications
5. Upload category/disability certificate, educational documents, and experience certificates (PDF, under 500kb each)
6. Pay the application fee online and generate the e-receipt
7. Save a printout of the application form and receipt for your records.
