PNB LBO Eligibility Criteria

The criteria include nationality, age limit, educational qualification, and work experience. Below is the eligibility criteria as per the official notification.

Nationality

Applicants must meet the nationality requirements prescribed for the recruitment. Eligibility includes Indian citizens, subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before 1 January 1962, and eligible persons of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries, subject to the required Government of India eligibility certificate.

Age Limit (As on 1/7/2026)

Candidates applying for the LBO post must be between 20 and 30 years of age.

Educational Qualification (As on 9/8/2026)

Candidates must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution approved by the Government of India. The degree and mark sheet must be valid on the date of registration.

Local Language Proficiency

Applicants should be able to read, write, and speak the local language of the state they are applying for.

Experience (As on 9/8/2026)

Candidates should possess a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience in the Clerical or Officer cadre of a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank. Based on their previous experience in an officer-level position, eligible candidates may also be granted up to two advance increments as per the bank’s norms.

What is PNB LBO Salary?

As per the Official Notification , the PNB Local Bank Officer Pay scale is Rs 48,480 – 2,000/7 – 62,480 – 2,340/2 – 67,160 – 2,680/7 – 85,920. In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to a variety of allowances, i.e., DA, HRA, CCA, Medical Insurance, LFC, etc.

Punjab National Bank LBO Exam Pattern

The PNB LBO Exam is conducted in computer-based mode and consists of 150 objective-type questions carrying a total of 150 marks. Candidates are allotted 180 minutes to complete the examination, after which the test will automatically end. The exam also follows a negative marking scheme, with 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer.
