Candidates must have any one of the following achievements in the relevant sport:
- Represented State/UT/Country in National/International competitions
- Medal winner in Junior Nationals / Khelo India Youth Games (18+) / Khelo India University/Winter/Para Games / SGFI
- Represented University in Inter-University tournaments conducted by Inter-University Sports Boards
- Represented State/UT School Team in National School Games (All India School Games Federation)
