Twinkle Twinkle Little Star How I Wonder What You are!
The poem comprises little thoughts of a young child wondering over the twinkling of the stars that look like diamonds in the sky. The child speaks these lines saying the star comes out and twinkles after the blazing sun is gone. The travellers thank the stars for showing them the right path with their twinkling light. When the sky is dark, the child says, he sees this star through the curtains from his room. He again repeats the lines, addressing the star that never shuts its eyes. The child further expresses that though he does not know what the star is, he knows that it twinkles.
Because this poem is intended for children, it is written from the perspective of a little kid who wonders and confronts the star directly to inquire what it is. The astonishment shown in the opening two lines continues throughout the poem, with the star being asked what it is and how distant it is from Earth. The music and rhythm, however, remain in the brains of the youngsters, who are the film’s primary audience.
The poem is made up of snippets of a small child’s thoughts while he watches the stars twinkle like diamonds in the sky. The child says, “After the burning sun has gone, the star comes out and twinkles.” The passengers thank the stars for pointing them in the correct direction with their glittering light. When the sky is dark, the child claims to see this star through his chamber curtains. He repeats the sentences, reminding the star that it never closes its eyes. The boy goes on to say that, while he does not know what the star is, he does know that it twinkles.
