Practice Problems for Multiplication Table of 26

Example 1: Suppose you have 26 cupcakes.  You can have 13 of them in a day. In how many days will you finish having all the cupcakes?

Ans: You have a total of 26 cupcakes. If you have 13 if them in a day, you will complete having all of them in 26 ÷ 13 days which is 2 days.

Example 2: Suppose you have 26 pencil boxes. Each box contains 1 dozen of colored pencils. Calculate the number of colored pencils in the boxes. 

Ans: Each box contains one dozen pencils. One dozen equals to 12 pencils. So 26 pencil boxes will have 26 * 12 pencils, which is 312 pencils.

Example 3: A man walks for 200 m everyday. In 26 days, how many meters will he cover? 

Ans: If a man covers 200 meter everyday, he will complete 200 * 26 meters in 26 days, which is equal to 5200 meters.

Example 4: Suppose you have 26 apples and you have to distribute 2 apples to a person. How many persons will get the apples? 

Ans: There are a total of 26 apples. If you give 2 apples to per person, 13 people (26 ÷ 2) will get the apples.

Example 5: Your class has a total of 26 students. Each of you give four roses to your teacher on teacher’s day. Calculate the total number of roses your teacher has.
