He was the creator of the Forward Bloc and managed to elude the British gaze long enough to reach Germany during world war II. He established the Indian National Army (INA) and, with Japanese assistance, was able to liberate a piece of Indian land from the British in Manipur, but was finally defeated by the British owing to the Japanese surrender. Despite the fact that he is thought to have perished in an aircraft accident on 18th August 1945, his death is still a mystery.

In the mid-1850s, when a new Enfield rifle was introduced in India, he had his most serious disagreement with the company. Animal fat, notably cow and pig fat, was said to be used to lubricate the rifle’s cartilage. The Indian troops rebelled against the corporation as a result of the cartridges’ usage, claiming that it violated their religious beliefs. On March 29, 1857, Pandey and his fellow sepoys revolted against the British leaders, attempting to murder them. On April 18, he was apprehended and condemned to death. However, British officials murdered him 10 days early on 8th April 1857 at Barrackpore, anticipating a sepoy insurrection.
