​The LIC AAO Result 2025 has been officially declared by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on its website. The LIC AAO exam aims to fill 841 vacancies for the posts of AAO (Generalist and Specialist) and Assistant Engineers across various branches of LIC in India. The examination is conducted in three stages: Preliminary, Main, and Interview, with results released separately for each stage. The Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature and not counted in the final merit list.

LIC AAO Result 2025 Cut-Off

How is LIC AAO Prelims Marks decided?

​For the LIC AAO Prelims Result, the merit list is prepared only based on the marks scored in the Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude sections. The English Language test is qualifying in nature, which means:

• You must score the minimum qualifying marks in English to clear the exam.
  
• However, English marks are not added to your total score for merit ranking.
  
• So, the LIC AAO Prelims merit list is based purely on Maths (Quantitative Aptitude) and Reasoning marks.
  
• Only candidates who qualify both these sections and meet the overall cut-off are shortlisted for the Mains Exam.
  

LIC AAO Marks Normalisation

​The LIC AAO Exam 2025 is conducted in multiple shifts to accommodate all candidates. Since the difficulty level of questions can vary slightly across different shifts, normalisation is used to ensure fairness and consistency in scoring.

Under this process, the raw marks obtained by candidates are adjusted using a statistical formula to bring all scores to a common scale. This means that no candidate is at an advantage or disadvantage due to the exam’s difficulty level in their specific shift. The normalised marks are considered for preparing the merit list and cut-off at every stage wherever applicable.

What's Next After the Result is Announced?

After the declaration of the LIC AAO Result 2025, shortlisted candidates will proceed to the Interview round following the Mains Exam, which is scheduled for 8th November 2025. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains and Interview. Candidates who qualify will then undergo a Pre-Recruitment Medical Test, and those found medically fit will receive the final appointment as LIC Assistant Administrative Officers.
