JK Bank Apprentice Recruitment: Contractual Basis and Engagement Details
Candidates must read the following information carefully before applying for this opportunity:
- The recruitment is a temporary training engagement under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and does not constitute regular employment.
- The apprenticeship period is strictly for 12 months, after which apprentices will be relieved immediately.
- Apprentices are considered trainees, not workers, and have no right to claim regular, contractual, or part-time employment in the Bank during or after the training.
- If a contract is terminated early due to the apprentice’s failure to comply with the terms, they must indemnify the Bank for training costs.
- Apprentices wishing to leave during the contract period must provide one month’s prior notice.
- Candidates who drop out or leave without a one-month notice are liable to refund the stipend drawn for the last month.
- Domiciles of J&K and Ladakh who complete the program receive a one-year age relaxation for future Banking Associate recruitment in the Bank.
- Domiciles of J&K and Ladakh who complete the training will receive an additional 2.5 marks (2.5% weightage) in the online written test for future Banking Associate recruitment.
