Steps to Apply for Gujarat Police Recruitment 2024 for SI and Constable Post

Candidates can follow the short instructions given below to apply for 12472 SI and Constable Vacancies. The direct link to apply is given above or candidates can visit the official website:

1. Start by opening your browser and visit the official website for recruitment at https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in/.
2. Now, follow by clicking on the homepage on Online Application > Apply> GPRB Gujarat Police Recruitment Board.
3. After that, click on the apply button and start with registration process by providing all the necessary details.
4. When the registration is complete and submitted, the system will send a unique registration id and password that will be used throughout the examination.
5. Now, proceed with the application form, upload documents, and enter details.
6. At last pay the application fee and submit the application form and take a printout of it.

Gujarat Police Bharti 2024 Application Fee

While filling out the application form, candidates need to pay the application fee as without it the form will not be considered complete. The application fee can be paid online through debit/credit card, UPI, etc. There is no fee for SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS. Ex-Service Man and for General category it is Rs. 100/-.

Gujarat Police Selection Process

The selection process for Gujarat Police involves 4 stages to ensure the recruitment of suitable candidates. Candidates can check the step-by-step details regarding the selection process here.

Stage 1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST):

• Physical Standards Test (PST): Candidates are measured for height, chest (for male candidates), and weight. Those who meet the prescribed standards move to the next stage.
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates undergo physical tasks such as running, long jump, high jump, etc., to assess their physical fitness. The requirements may vary based on the position applied for.

Stage 2: Main (Objective+Descriptive) Examination for Unarmed SI Post and Objective MCQ Examination for Other Posts: Qualified candidates from the PET/PST undergo a written examination. The exam includes subjects such as General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, Current Affairs, and English, depending on the position applied for.

Stage 3: Medical Examination: Candidates who clear the written examination and document verification undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the required medical standards as per the job specifications.

Stage 4: Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification where they need to present original documents to verify their eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, age, category, etc.

Gujarat Police Constable Exam Pattern 2024

The exam pattern for the Unarmed Police Sub Inspector and the Unarmed Police Constable, Armed Police Constable, Jail Sepoy, and Armed Police Constable (SRPF) is different. Candidates can check the detailed exam pattern for the posts below.

Unarmed Police Sub Inspector Exam Pattern

The Main Examination will be of 300 marks consisting of 2 papers (Objective type and Descriptive type) for the Unarmed Police Sub Inspector post. Check the exam pattern of the Gujarat Police Constable in the table below.

Note:

• Every question shall be of 1 mark.
• Every attempted question with an incorrect answer shall carry a negative mark of 0.25.
• In every question, there shall be one ‘E’ option of “Not attempted”. If the candidate does not intend to answer, he may select this option. If a candidate selects this option, no negative marks shall be given.
• If a candidate has not selected any of the options given in the question, then it shall carry a negative mark of 0.25.
• The Candidates shall be required to qualify in both Part A and Part B separately.

Paper 2 – GUJARATI and ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILL (DESCRIPTIVE)

Note:

• Paper 1 of the Main Examination shall be objective type and Paper 2 shall be Descriptive type.
• The Qualifying standard for PAPER-1 GENERAL STUDIES (MCQ) shall be a minimum of 40% marks in PART-A and PART-B separately.
• The Qualifying standard for PAPER-2 GUJARATI and ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILL (DESCRIPTIVE) shall be a minimum of 40% marks.
• The evaluation of Paper-2 GUJARATI and ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILL (DESCRIPTIVE) shall be made only for those candidates who score a minimum of 40 percent.
• Qualifying marks in PART-A and PART-B of PAPER-1 GENERAL STUDIES (MCQ) separately.

Unarmed Police Constable, Armed Police Constable, Jail Sepoy, and Armed Police Constable (SRPF) Exam Pattern:

For this exam, candidates will have Part A and Part B, which together consist of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to answer. These questions carry a total of 200 marks. Candidates will have a total of 3 hours, equivalent to 180 minutes, to complete all the questions in both Part A and Part B.

Paper A

In Part A of the exam, candidates will encounter 80 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying one mark. The total marks for Part A sum up to 80. Candidates must score at least a 40% score to qualify for this part of the exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Additionally, candidates have the option to choose the “E” option if they do not know the answer to a question.

Paper B

In this section of the exam, candidates will have to attempt a total of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying one mark. To qualify, candidates need to score at least 40% of the total marks, which means they must achieve a minimum of 48 marks out of 120. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted
