The Railway Recruitment Board declared the RRB NTPC Undergraduate CBT 1 Result on 24th August 2026, releasing it on all zonal RRB websites. Candidates who appeared for the exam can visit their respective zonal RRB website and download the result PDF to check whether they’ve qualified for CBT 2.
Along with the result, RRB has also released the category-wise cut-off marks and announced the CBT 2 exam date. Candidates will be able to check their individual scores starting 26th August 2026. The Merit List PDF is available for download below.
RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 Result 2026 Out
RRB conducted the NTPC Undergraduate CBT 1 exam across multiple shifts, from 7–9 May 2026 and 13–20 June 2026. Candidates who appeared can now check their qualifying status on the respective RRB websites.
The result contains the roll numbers of candidates provisionally shortlisted for the 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2), with RRB confirming that shortlisting was carried out based on candidates’ CBT 1 performance along with their post preferences.

The RRB NTPC UG Cut Off 2026 has also been released along with the declaration of the CBT 1 result. The cut-off represents the minimum marks required to qualify for the next stage of the recruitment process. Since the RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 was conducted in multiple shifts, the marks has been normalised before determining the cut-off. RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 Result 2026: What After Result?
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Undergraduate CBT 1 Result will now appear for the 2nd Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT 2). According to the official result notice, the CBT 2 examination is tentatively scheduled for 17th September 2026.
Candidates will receive information regarding the CBT 2 Exam City Intimation Slip through the official RRB websites, SMS, and email. The e-call letter will be available for download four days before the examination date.
Is there Normalisation in RRB NTPC UG Exam?
Yes, RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 was conducted in multiple shifts, from 7–9 May and 13–20 June 2026, so difficulty naturally varies slightly across shifts. To ensure no candidate is disadvantaged by a tougher shift, RRB normalises the raw scores before preparing results and cut-offs. Stage 1: CBT 1: Candidates are shortlisted in the ratio of 1:20 times the vacancies of each category.
Stage 2: CBT 2: This is the merit-deciding round; the final selection is based on the CBT 2 merit list.
Stage 3: CBAT / Typing Skill Test: Required only for specific posts (for example, CBAT for Station Master/Traffic Assistant roles; Typing Skill Test for Clerk-based posts).
Stage 4: Document Verification & Medical Examination: Final stage before appointment; based on performance in CBT 2 (and CBAT/Typing Test, where applicable).
CBT 2 Exam Pattern
The NTPC UG CBT 2 Exam is conducted in online mode and it has 120 questions worth 1 mark each also, there is a negative marking of 1/3rd for each incorrect answer.
