Career in veterinary science: Entrance Exams

  • NEET: National Entrance Examination Test

The NEET entrance test is national and grants admission to all medical programs. According to The Veterinary Council of India, applicants for admission to BVSc and AH programs must take the NEET exam. Typically, it occurs between December and February.

 

  • AAU VET, The Assam Agricultural University’s Veterinary Entrance Examination

For admission to the Assam Agricultural University’s Veterinary Science (BVSc) and Animal Science programs, there is a university-level entrance exam (AH). The admission exam is administered offline. Normally, this exam takes place in August or September.

  • OUAT, The Odisha University Of Agriculture And Technology

Every year for undergraduate admissions, the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology conducts a university-level entrance exam. Usually, it takes place from February through June.

  • Pre-Veterinary Test in Rajasthan (RPVT)

Those are applying to the B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree programs administered by the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. It is carried out offline. Unlike other entrance exams, the qualifying requirements for RPVT also stipulate that you must be a resident of Rajasthan. It often happens from May to July.

  • UP VET (UP Veterinary Entrance Test)
