RRB Technician 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for RRB Technician posts must fulfil the required eligibility criteria, including age limit, nationality, and educational qualification.
Age Limit (As on 1/7/2026)
The age limit for Technician Grade 1 is 18 to 33 years, and for Technician Grade 3 is 18 to 30 years. Reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation as per government rules.

RRB Technician 2026 CBT Pattern

Technician Grade I Exam Pattern
The Tech Grade 1 CBT is an objective-type test consisting of 100 questions worth 100 marks. The duration of the test is 90 minutes, and a penalty of 1/3rd will be applied for each incorrect answer. See the table below for the complete exam pattern:

How to Apply for RRB Technician Grade I and III?
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is set to activate the online application window for Technician posts from 30th June 2026. Eligible candidates can apply through the official portal, www.rrbapply.gov.in, on or before 29th July 2026 (11:59 PM). It is important to note that only online applications will be accepted, and submissions through any other mode will be rejected.
Follow these steps to apply for Technician grade 1 and 3 posts:
- Go to www.rrbapply.gov.in.
- If you do not have an account, then click on “Create an Account”. To do so, you need to fill in your number and email ID.
- Once the account is created, log in again and click on RRB Technician CEN No. 02/2026.
- Fill out the application form with educational and personal details.
- Upload a live photo, a passport-size photo, and a signature. (Photo must be the latest and clear)
- Pay the application fee
- Take a final view of the application form.
- Submit the form and take a printout of it.
