The Railway Recruitment Board has released a total of 6,565 vacancies under the Technician Centralised Employment Notification (CEN 02/2026). This includes 323 posts for Technician Grade 1 and 6,242 posts for Technician Grade 3. RRB Technician Notification 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for RRB Technician posts must fulfil the required eligibility criteria, including age limit, nationality, and educational qualification.
Age Limit (As on 1/7/2026)
The age limit for Technician Grade 1 is 18 to 33 years, and for Technician Grade 3 is 18 to 30 years. Reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation as per government rules.

RRB Technician 2026 CBT Pattern

Technician Grade I Exam Pattern
The Tech Grade 1 CBT is an objective-type test consisting of 100 questions worth 100 marks. The duration of the test is 90 minutes, and a penalty of 1/3rd will be applied for each incorrect answer. See the table below for the complete exam pattern:
