Medical Standards
Candidates must meet CISF medical standards to be considered for final selection.
- Weight should be proportionate to height and age.
- Candidates must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in the eyes.
- Tattoos are permitted only as per prescribed CISF guidelines.
- Medical fitness will be assessed through Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME).
CISF ASI Paramedical Staff Selection Process 2026
The recruitment process consists of multiple stages designed to assess professional knowledge, physical standards, and medical fitness.
Stage 1: Written Examination
The written examination will be conducted in OMR/CBT mode and will test candidates on trade-related knowledge.

Candidates will be shortlisted approximately five times the number of vacancies for PST, documentation, BVAT, and medical examination. The final merit list will be prepared solely on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination, while PST and BVAT are qualifying in nature.
Stage 2: Physical Standard Test & Documentation
Candidates qualifying the written examination will undergo verification of height, chest, weight, and original documents.
Stage 3: Basic Vocational Aptitude Test (BVAT)
Candidates clearing PST and documentation will appear for the BVAT. This test is qualifying in nature and assesses suitability for the post.
Stage 4: Medical Examination
Candidates who qualify for all previous stages will undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Those declared unfit may apply for a Review Medical Examination (RME) as per CISF rules.

Selected candidates will receive salary and allowances as per the 7th Central Pay Commission.
