Short Teachers Day Speech for kids
A very cordial good morning to my respected teachers and my dear friends. I’m here today to give a speech in honour of Teachers’ Day. Before I begin my speech, I’d like to express my gratitude to all of my favourite teachers for always leading us and bestowing onto us, all of the teachings, moral values, and discipline.
Do you have any idea why this particular date was chosen? The day commemorates the birth of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an Indian Scholar and also India’s second President. He was a brilliant scholar who committed his life to the advancement of knowledge.
But how did everyone come up with this idea to celebrate his birthday as teachers day?
So, what happened was, that his students once requested to celebrate his birthday. To which, the honourable gentleman simply replied that instead of celebrating his birthday, it would be a happy privilege if September 5th is marked as Teachers’ Day.
Teachers’ Day was then proclaimed on his birthday to honour all teachers.
Since 1962, every year on September 5th, Teachers’ Day is observed, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India’s second President.

Teachers Day Short Speech: COVID times and Teachers’ Day celebration
Very good morning to my respected teachers and my friends.
Today is the day we dedicate in admiration and affection for the teachers, who are also our ‘second parents’. Let us take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all of our teachers and mentors who have played such an important role in moulding our lives. We have set aside this day to honour the exceptional individuals who work persistently every day to ensure that all of us have a bright future.
However, for the last few months, all schools have been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Students and instructors will now be able to celebrate Teachers’ Day 2020 remotely through the means of online classes. This year, our admiration for instructors around the world has increased tremendously, from leading us to motivating us. We understand that it has been difficult for each of us, but teachers have served as our lockdown mentors. They’ve been there for us the entire time, assisting us with online coursework and assessments.
Expressing my gratitude to all of the teachers on behalf of all of the students for their continuous support, I would like to say, Thank you for leading, encouraging, and moulding us into the people we are today!

Teachers’ Day Short Speech: Our unwavering support system and ‘second parents’
Good morning, everyone. We’ve assembled here today to honour the work of our teachers, who are often referred to as our “second parents” and “career guiding masters.”
Teachers’ Day is observed in India every year, on September 5th, to commemorate Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary.
Teachers, it is said, are greater than parents. Teachers shape a child’s personality and provide a bright future, whereas parents give birth to a child. Aside from academics, instructors are always there for us, guiding, motivating, and inspiring us to be better people.
Teachers have a big influence on us, and they inspire us a lot. Every student aspires to be like their professors, who are viewed as role models. Teachers, after parents, are in charge of shaping a child’s character at every stage of his or her life.
Hereby, I conclude my speech. Thank you for being a patient listener.
