RIMC Entrance Exam 2023: Notification

For admission to Class VIII at the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun (UK), for the July 2023 Term, applications are being accepted for both boys and girls. The entrance exam will be held at designated centres in the relevant states on December 3, 2022. (Saturday).

Before July 20, 2022, the State Government will release a press release.
15th October 2022 is the deadline for state government acceptances.
Entrance exam administration: December 3, 2022
Only those applicants who pass the written test will participate in the viva-voce: Dates will be revealed in due course.

RIMC Entrance Exam 2023: Entrance Exam Pattern

The candidates will be examined in the following subjects:

Mathematics Written Paper

Maximum marks : 200 marks
Time : 09:30-11:30 hours
Remarks – Candidates may answer in Hindi or English

General Knowledge Written Paper

Maximum marks : 75 marks
Time : 12:00-13:00hrs
Remarks – Candidates may answer in Hindi or English

English Written Paper

Maximum marks : 125 marks
Time : 14:30-16:30hrs

Viva Voce

Only for candidates who qualify in the written Exam

Medical Examination

Only those applicants judged to be medically fit will be given consideration for selection and admission to the RIMC out of all qualifying candidates following the interview at certain military hospitals.

RIMC Entrance Exam 2023: Application Process

You may only get the prospectus/application form directly from “The Rashtriya Indian Military College, Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, Uttarakhand- 248003” by using the procedure below.
Online Payment: On the RIMC website (www.rimc.gov.in), candidates must pay an online fee of Rs. 600 for general candidates and Rs. 555 for SC/ST candidates (on receipt of the payment, the prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers will be dispatched by Speed Post only).
By Demand Draft: A written request along with a demand draught for Rs. 600 for General Candidates and Rs. 555 for SC/ST Candidates, along with a copy of their caste certificate, should be sent to “The Commandant RIMC Dehradun,” Drawee Branch, State Bank of India, Tel Bhavan, Dehradun, (Bank Code: 01576), Uttarakhand. Clearly type or write the address in capital letters, together with the pin code and a phone number.

For general candidates, the fee is Rs. 600; for those from SC/ST, the fee is Rs. 555.

RIMC Entrance Exam 2023: Necessary Documents

The following documents must be included with the application form:

Birth Registration
Certificate of Domicile
Certificate from the principal of the candidate’s present academic institution
Card Aadhar
passport-sized pictures

However, application forms should not be delivered to RIMC, Dehradun, but rather to the relevant State Governments in accordance with the instructions provided in the Prospectus.

Entry Age

Candidates (boys only) taking the aforesaid test may not be younger than 11/12 years old and must not be older than 13 as of July 1, 2023, or else they must have been born between July 2, 2010, and January 1, 2012, inclusive.

Candidates must be in Class VII or have completed Class VII from a recognised school by July 1, 2023, in order to be admitted to the RIMC.
