JEE Mains 2025 23 January Shift 2 Paper Solutions

Shift 2 of the JEE Mains 2025 Session 1 Day 2 took place from 3;00 P.M to 6:00 P.M, After the exam is over we will share the JEE Mains 2025 23 January Shift 2 Paper Solutions and complete analysis below.

1.A proton is moving with a uniform velocity of 2 × 108 m/s in uniform magnetic and electric fields which are perpendicular to each other. If the electric field is switched off, then the proton moves in a circular path of radius 1.6 × 10−5 m. Then the magnetic field B is:
(1) 5 × 10−5 T
(2) 1.2 × 105 T
(3) 2.5 × 104 T
(4) 2.5 × 102 T
Correct Answer: (1) 5 × 10−5 T

2. Number of terms in an arithmetic progression is 2n. Sum of terms occurring at even places is 40 and sum of terms occurring at odd places is 55. If the first term exceeds the last term by 27, then n equals to:

Solution: Let the first term of the arithmetic progression be a and the common difference be d.
– The sum of the terms occurring at even places:
Seven = n (a + (2n − 2)d) = 40.
– The sum of the terms occurring at odd places:
Sodd = n (a + (2n − 1)d) = 55.
From the given information, we also know that the first term exceeds the last term by 27, which gives the equation:
a − (a + (2n − 1)d) = 27.
Solving this system of equations will give the value of n.

5. Alpha-helix and beta-sheet protein structures belong to which category of structure?

(1) Increase
(2) Decrease
(3) H+ increases, OH− decreases
(4) Remains constant
Correct Answer: (2) Decrease

8. If the square of the shortest distance between the lines
x − 2 = y − 1 = z + 3 and x + 1 = y + 3 = z + 5 ,
1 2 −3 2 4 −5
is m , where m, n are coprime numbers, then m + n is equal to:
