How to Register for CLAT 2027? Full Step-by-Step Application Process

The CLAT 2027 registration process will start from 3 August 2026 and continue till 31 October 2026. Students who want to appear for the Common Law Admission Test will have to fill the form online on the official website of the Consortium of NLUs.

How to Register for CLAT 2027?

Students can complete the CLAT 2027 application form online by following these steps.

1. Visit on Official Website: For CLAT registration students have to go the the official website of Consortium of National Law Universities. Click on CLAT 2027 registration option on the home page. 
2. Register as a new user: Click on new registration and enter your full name according to the class 12th result, mobile number and your email address. Create your login details.

Now you have to fill your personal details like:

• Candidate’s Name
• Father’s Name
• Mother’s Name
• Date of Birth
• Gender
• Nationality
• Category
• Address
• State and City

3. Enter Academic Details: After adding personal details, you have to add your academic information like, class 10th, 12th board results, passing year, marks and school name.
4. Choose Your Course: Now you have to select the course you want to apply for like CLAT UG for the 5 year integrated law course or CLAT PG for LLM
5. Choose Participating NLUs: This part is actually very important. Your preference list is used during counselling and seat allotment, so don’t just click randomly and finish the form quickly. Take a little time, read about the colleges, and then arrange them properly. A good preference list can matter a lot later, seriously.
6. Upload the Required Documents: Upload all the necessary documents in the prescribed format. Here are the list of documents you need to upload:

• Passport-size Photograph
• Signature
• Category Certificate, if applicable
• PwD Certificate, if applicable

7. Choose your Exam Centre: Select your preferred exam city. Try to choose a centre that is close to your home
8. Application Fee: Now go to the payment section and pay the application fee online. Usually, payment can be made through Debit or Credit card, Net-Banking and UPI
9. Review and Submit Form: check the entire form properly. And submit the application form.
